Cinematic Storytelling
This is our flagship course. 12 Classes. 6 Weeks. $899.

"What is gained when pictures move?" The early innovators of cinema answered this question by devising a language for motion picture storytelling that is still used today. By way of breaking down shot composition, story structure, basic on-camera acting techniques and more, this course will teach you this time-honored language. It will require your full focus and participation. You will work in teams to accomplish in-class exercises and homework assignments.
If you already work in film - as an actor, a designer, director, a grip or PA - and want to broaden your collaborative skills or are interested in experimenting outside your current 'on-set' role, this course is for you.
The goal of this class is to create a community of collaborators. We are looking for like-minded, hardworking early and mid-career film professionals. We will vet all applicants to guarantee you are working alongside devoted craftspeople who will challenge and inspire you.

Michael Tisdale is an award-winning actor, writer, and producer of theatre and film. A graduate of The Juilliard School's Drama Division (Group 25) and UIOWA's Playwrights Workshop, he has taught at NYU, Yale, Fordham, Rutgers, UIOWA, NYCDA and more.

As an actor, Michael's career spans over twenty-five years and includes working with such notables as Sir Peter Hall and Sidney Lumet and being your favorite vampire to kill in Red Dead Redemption II.
